One crazy thing that happened today was that we had sent an email to the German girls we had met yesterday, telling them that if their schedule allowed, we would meet them at 3 pm at this one metro station.  So we had no idea whether or not they even had the chance to read the email or not, but we were there just in case, and they came up with all their friends at 3:05 and had just finished their touring for the day!  They had no idea we had sent that email so it was crazy that they just happened to be getting back at that time.  It was for sure a God thing so it was really exciting to see it. They werent able to get together then, but we are planning on getting together tomorrow afternoon, so you could be praying about that.

Today was a fantastic day. It was suppose to rain, but it didn’t. It was a beautiful day at the beach. We were able to share with people from 7 different countries and with 8 natives to Barcelona.

The three Denmark guys worshipped and went out sharing with us today. The guys were greatly encouraged by us. Lasse (Lazer), told me he wants to start sharing the gospel in his home country now. They kept saying how they were amazed we would spend our break sharing the gospel with the lost. All the 3 of our brothers want to come to Des Moines and spend the week with us during the summer.

It was really neat to share with Christopher. It was really heart warming today when I couldn’t remember a verse, he was able to tell me the reference. This was their first time going… [full post]

The majority of people we encountered today (just like yesterday and probably tomorrow) hailed from some other place than EspaƱa. We’re grateful for this, because, by our presence in this city, the gospel is being spread all across the world.

We spoke to a 30 year-old man from Argentina named Dario. He’s lived in Barce for 3 months and plans to stay here if he finds work. When we asked him about his religious beliefs he said (the translated version, of course), “I don’t like religion. I believe in a relationship with Jesus. If you confess with your mouth, ‘Jesus is Lord’ and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.” It’s comforting to know we’re not the only Christians in this city! Dario gave us a copy of the worship album his brother recorded. Prepare to learn some songs in… [full post]

God is Good! All the time. Today was the first day my group and I hit the streets with the gospel. We spent the entire day at the beach sharing the gospel. We first shared with a couple from Romania. They were both pretty soft, but had to leave.

We later shared the truth with 6 natives. One of them believed he was a Christan, but the others believed they were atheists, but after more dialogue, they understood how there has to be a God.

We ran into many others, including 6 muslim teenagers. That one wasn’t the most ideal, a little scary frankly, but we gave them tracts and told them Jesus loves them and died for them. They weren’t very pumped by that, but it needed to be said. smile

We later as a group went… [full post]

Sorry for the long wait but I had a message ready to send out last night before the power was turned off on me and everything was lost!

Our group (Me, Jess Wagner, Jami McCubbin, Bethany Johnson, Crystal Ryder, Luke Hibbing and the newly arrived Cole Meyers) has been doing extremely well.

The first day was a solid 18 hours on transportation vehicles mixed in with two shorter (2/3 hour) layovers. Jess was feeling a little sick on the plane but once we got into Barcelona she felt a lot better. The Lord blessed our traveling greatly in that we arrived in Barcelona at 2:00pm with all our luggage and only a small two hour delay. The rest of our first day (technically our second due to an over night flight and a 6 hour time change) consisted of traveling to the first hostel on the… [full post]
